The San Francisco 49ers likely won’t find their high receiver on the field in Week 1

When it comes to the NFL offseason, the San Francisco 49ers had among the most powerful in the whole league. They were able to sign defensive end Arik Armstead and tight end George Kittle to long term contract extensions and exchanged to former Washington Football Team left handle Trent Williams to replace the retired Joe Staley.

If there was only one drawback of this offseason, it had been the discovery which high wide receiver Deebo Samuel endured a Jones fracture in his left foot through a casting session together with teammates at Nashville, Tenn. back in June.

With Samuel sidelined for 12-16 weeks in the time of this accident, head coach Kyle Shanahan told the press on Saturday that he is”optimistic” that the second-year receiver could be all set for their Week 1 from the Arizona Cardinals, but he is”not relying on it”

“Deebo’s likely to do anything that he can to maintain shape, but it is difficult to maintain soccer shape till you’re able to play soccer,” said Shanahan, through NBC Sports. “So the number of clinics are we get him before Arizona? That is likely to all go in to drama, so I am expecting for Week 1. But not certain yet.”

Too soon to tell if Samuel is going to be cleared to the regular season

The 49ers are likely to need to play the waiting game with their breakout star from previous year. Considering he is the future of this crime, it would not be surprising to observe that the 49ers have a careful approach and have him sit until he is 100% retreated to perform with.

Last year, Samuel captured 57-of-81 moves from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to get 802 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also racing for 159 yards and three scores on 14 communicates.

If Samuel is formally out for Week 1, the anticipation is that first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk is going to be the group’s No. 1 recipient. Samuel shined throughout his senior year at Arizona State, where he listed 65 receptions for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. The group declared fast receivers Tavon Austin and J.J. Nelson this week to fill in the areas left to the depth chart by Samuel and Richie James, whom the group set on the NFI record because he recovers from a broken wrist.

Samuel will match up to your own 49ers this year, but do not expect it to be as early as Week 1.
