Former Saints OL Max Unger shed a whole lot of weight following retiring

Max Unger’s new diet plan is functioning, to say the least

Max Unger continue played in an NFL game in 2019, but in a recent session with all the New Orleans press, Unger had drop least 60 pounds from his playing weight of 305 pounds. Unger retired 32 years old, and has since taken his post-football shape quite seriously.

Max Unger looks entirely different after shedding up to 60 pounds post-retirement

“I dropped about 60 lbs, maybe just a bit more than that. Perhaps about 65. It is a fairly great thing. I’m still waiting. It is still somewhat overrated. I am still waiting to enjoy have a bit more energy and feel great, but I believe I am on the perfect path. It was a fantastic point to kind of attention on directly from the gate. It’s just another thing to obsess over and it is sort of a simple transition. You spend as much time at the NFL taking good care of your own body and performing therapy. You only kind of transition directly into like form of a hardcore diet and if you do it at once, it has not been too poor.”

Unger combines the likes of Joe Thomas and Marshall Yanda, two former heavyset NFL players that slimmed down after retiring. The NFL needs a particular diet from its own participant, particularly offensive linemen, that has to be built like a brick home to guard quarterbacks signed to multi-million buck deals.

Unger created one All-Pro group and three Pro Bowls in his 10-year career, such as in his final full year in 2018.
