Scottish Hockey Maintains establishment of task force

The Task Force Steering Group, composed of a range of subgroups and key stakeholders, may inquire the subgroups to look at a variety of themes and to come back with recommendations.

The task force will report to the board of Hockey.

It was supposed that the task force will consult with member teams with a view to creating a path map, adapting to Scottish Authorities advice, for the period ahead. The rest of the people in the job force is going to be supported by Monday.

The membership of each category is as follows:

Steering Group:

  • Seat: Justine Westwood, Board Director
  • Karin McKenny: Board Director
  • Stephen Martin: Board Director and High Performance subgroup direct
  • John Mackenzie: SHU President
  • Peter Gillespie: SHU Vice President — subgroup direct
  • Umpires representative — subgroup direct
  • District President x 1: accountable for participating with all other districts
  • Jamie Frail: Head of National Game — and manhood of the Teams subgroup;
  • Andy Tennant: Head of Performance — and also member of the High Performance subgroup;
  • Faculties representative
  • Youth representative
  • Secretariat (from Scottish Hockey staff)

Key Responsibilities

  • On behalf of the Scottish Hockey Board oversee the actions detailed within the terms of reference to be verified shortly;
  • Create and implement communication and involvement action plan;
  • Create proposals for the construction of the outside leagues in 2021/22;
  • Create situations for restarting play;
  • Working together with the subgroups, create related options for its competitive structure in 2021/22 ensuring all of equalities consequences are considered;
  • Provide Normal updates on progress to the plank, escalating any Problems That Can’t be solved at steering group level;
  • Provide recommendations about the construction of the outside leagues in 2021/22 and related competitive structures into the board.

Key Responsibilities

According to the Steering Group, including but not limited to:

  • Share and react to suggestions by the Steering Group about the arrangement of the outside leagues in 2021/22, supplying any answers to any difficulties or issues raised;
  • Create options for the affiliated league arrangement, such as consideration regarding whether cup contests should/could also be performed, engaging with other groups at the applicable league as proper, and together with all the Officials subgroup;
  • Provide recommendations to the Steering Group.

 

Subgroup: Officials

Seat: (TBC)

Members must be consented.

Key Responsibilities

According to the Steering Group, including but not limited to:

  • Share and react to suggestions in the Steering Group about the arrangement of the outside leagues in 2021/22, providing any answers to any problems or concerns increased from a officials’ standpoint;
  • Input into the development from the Teams subgroup of some Few of situations for restarting play, and alternatives for the related league format, such as consideration regarding whether cup contests should/could also be performed;
  • Provide recommendations to the Steering Group.

Subgroup: High Performance

  • Seat: Stephen Martin, Board member
  • Andy Tennant, Head of Performance

Seat to confirm Extra membership, but possibly including:

  • Premiership representatives;
  • International agents x two (m/f);
  • NAG representative x two (m/f).

 

Key Responsibilities

According to the Steering Group, including but not limited to:

  • Share and respond to suggestions in the Steering Group about the arrangement of the outside leagues in 2021/22, providing any answers to any problems or concerns increased from High Performance standpoint;
  • In the High Performance standpoint, create options for the affiliated league format such as consideration regarding whether cup contests should/could also be performed, with a Specific focus on top of the league playoffs and also support to the Global programme because it restarts at all levels, engaging with other teams in the league as proper, as well as all the Officials subgroup;
  • Provide recommendations to the Steering Group.
