The Bundesliga giants have announced the England international is not going anywhere this summer, however maybe not everyone thinks them
Jadon Sancho will shortly be a Manchester United player, using Borussia Dortmund only playing hardball to find the best price possible, based on Owen Hargreaves.
The Red Devils have made Sancho among the principal summer transfer goals and discussions have been occurring between both clubs for a while.
Target will affirm the Bundesliga outfit need $120 million (#108m/$142m) for the England international, but the two clubs have been stated to be far apart in their discussions last week despite promises an agreement was reached.
Dortmund establish a deadline of Monday to achieve an agreement, otherwise there would not be a deal. With no agreement in sight, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has announced that Sancho will be remaining in Germany following year.
Hargreaves, however, believes this is only a bargaining tactic designed to extract just a couple more million out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
“Bluff. I am calling bluff, I believe he will be a Man Utd player in a fairly short time,” the former Manchester United midfielder informed BT Sport.
“They are only hoping to find some more cash from it. It is the nature of the monster.
“Clearly they understand United are extremely interested and they’re pretty heavy into discussions. I believe they’re bluffing and they understand he will leave at the cost ”
Two former United players, Robin van Persie and Paul Scholes, consented with Hargreaves’ assertion which Sancho will wind up in Old Trafford.
The duo believe United’s failure to property Erling Haaland, who combined Dortmund out of Red Bull Salzburg in January, will make them more determined to land a prime move goal this moment.
“From the looks of this, Dortmund are enjoying some tough ball,” Van Persie informed BT Sport. “But that is the way the sport is played.
“Dortmund desire more income so that it is dependent upon Man United, should they would like to go the additional mile. Should they actually rate him think he could be that big of a hit, then they will.
“They missed out on [Erling] Haaland and I think that it was a missed opportunity. Because Everyone’s seen within the previous six to eight weeks that which he could perform. He is a fantastic player.
“They do not need to lose out on the upcoming big thing but how much are they prepared to go? That is the key question . It is business.”
Scholes added:”They are only after a bit more cash from it. They’re speaking about #108m, and it is a great deal of cash. [But] He seems a fantastic player who will enhance some team in world soccer with his aids and his objectives.
“The 1 thing I’d say about United is that they had been desperate to get Haaland and they did not go the extra mile to cover the money they needed for him.
“Can they get it done with Sancho? I believe that they will. If Ole desperately needs him, I believe that they will get him”
