The Brooklyn Nets have hired Steve Nash to function as their new head coach, Marc Stein of the New York Times reports. The Hall of Fame point guard will make his coaching debut with a roster which includes Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
The movement has been validated in a media release from the group.
Current interim coach Jacque Vaughn will stay with the group as the lead assistant, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. He’d probably have obtained the job offer had Nash resisted.
Nash’s deal with all the Eastern Conference competition is for four decades, Wojnarowski adds.
Nash has not had a training job earlier but he had been a consultant with the Golden State Warriors throughout their title run. He became alongside Kevin Durant throughout that moment, Stein reports.
