The Orlando Magic will probably be without Jonathan Isaac following year. Team president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman shown as much in the aftermath of the group’s departure from the postseason.
Isaac’s conduct from the bubble came to a premature end when he tore his left ACL and the group is in no hurry to sabotage his comeback. The flexible 22-year old forward had only forced his return to the courtroom from another substantial knee injury on Jan. 1 if he did it.
Isaac is the hottest NBA player to endure in the significant knee injury, though it is not the career end prognosis it was. Other recent cases of players who have suffered the exact same destiny comprise Kristaps Porzingis, Spencer Dinwiddie and Klay Thompson.
In several circumstances, the recovery period for this kind of accident is one complete season. Otherwise, a nine-month to one-piece window is not uncommon. While we do not understand exactly what the 2020-21 NBA effort will look like, shutting Isaac down to the whole year is a welcomed attentive approach to get a player with a long career before him.
Isaac had started to establish himself as one of the greatest defenders in the NBA and surely variables into Orlando’s long term strategy.
