When does every stage begin, how long will be your race and how do I trace the activity?

What’s this race and why should I care about it?

Why, it is just the 107th edition of the Tour de France, one of the three grand tours, the others being the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España.

Launched in 1903 from Henri Desgrange, editor of L’Auto paper, the Tour might not be the favorite stage race of this biking cognoscenti but it’s one which catches the imagination of the broader sporting public. Consequently, the race is the largest annual sporting event in the world with more live audiences than the Olympic Games or even Fifa World Cup.

So when does the Tour de France begin?

Much like the rest of the international sporting calendar, the Tour has been changed from the coronavirus pandemic and has then changed from its normal slot at July to the end of the summer.  This year’s race started in Nice, on Saturday August 29, 2020.

Just how long is this year’s Tour de France?

The whole space of this race is ,470kilometers — or two,156 miles in old money. After putting off from Nice together with 2 phases, including a challenging second day including nearly 3,700 metres of vertical climbing, there follows summit endings around the Orcieres-Merlette and Mont Aigoual on stages five and six ahead of the race heads towards the Pyrenees.
