YouTube takes down Hadiqa Kiani’s Kashmir tribute

YouTube on Thursday took down famed Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani’s recent tune on Kashmir — that premiered in cooperation with Turkish singer Ali Tolga as a tribute to Kashmir Martyrs’ Day and also the unsuccessful coup attempt in Turkey.

After the movement from YouTube, the veteran singer chose to Instagram where she called it as another effort of”systemic silence” and stated that these strategies wouldn’t subdue the voices increased for the rights of Kashmiris.

“Our tribute to Kashmir was eliminated from YouTube a couple of hours ago,” that the Boohe Barian singer submitted on Instagram. “There appears to be a systematic silencing occurring but we won’t be silenced because our message is of peace and love.”

Additionally, Kiani educated her Instagram followers who Kashmir Civitas, a global civil society dedicated to the rights of the Kashmiris, was”actively working to re-upload the movie ”

The brand new tune’Daimi Bahar’, interpreted as eternal spring, is a lyrical tribute which was mostly composed in Turkish with a couple pieces in Urdu. The tune gives a synopsis of both Turkey and Kashmir’s forfeit through interrelated visuals.
