RAWALPINDI: Three military employees were martyred and eight injured after terrorists opened fire during regular patrolling near Balochistan’s Kahan village, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Tuesday.
The ISPR, in a statement, said the security forces were patrolling near Gichak valley at the Panjgur area of Balochistan.
“Three soldiers embraced shahadat while eight soldiers obtained harms, including a officer. Five injured are crucial,” the ISPR said.
The wounded soldiers were changed to Combined Military Hospital in Quetta, the announcement added.
Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said the assault was a”condemnable act of terrorism”.
Senate Deputy Chairperson Saleem Mandviwala condemned the shooting on security forces’ patrolling celebration in Balochistan, saying it was a scheme to damage serenity in Pakistan
“The whole country stands shoulder-to-shoulder with all the armed forces,” Mandviwala explained. “Our soldiers have made many sacrifices to help establish peace in the nation.”
Operation at Boyya
Earlier this week, four terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based surgery (IBO) from the Boya region of North Waziristan, the ISPR had stated.
The performance was completed in Vezhda Sar, eight kilometres southwest of Boyya from the North Waziristan area of Miranshah.
“Sanitisation force conducted performance against terrorists’ hideout at Vezhda Sar this afternoon. The moment the soldiers cordoned off the region, terrorists opened fire. All dug terrorists were taken down by security forces,” read the announcement.
As stated by this ISPR, while returning fire, four soldiers adopted martyrdom. They have been identified as Sepoy Muhammad Ismail Khan, Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz Yasin, Sepoy Raja Waheed Ahmed, also Sepoy Muhammad Rizwan Khan.
