FC soldier Adopts martyrdom, Two Injured in Shooting from across Afghan border

A soldier of the Frontier Corps was martyred and 2 obtained hurt, following hefty mortar and weapons shooting, from throughout the border with Afghanistan, the army’s press wing stated on Wednesday.

As stated by this Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announcement, the incident happened at the boundary at the Bin Shahi region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower Dir district.

In May, six security personnel were martyred when an FC reconnaissance vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED) during a routine patrol at Buleda district of Balochistan near the Pakistan-Iran boundary. An officer was one of the martyrs.
