Venice’s much-changed La Fenice opera house reopened on Sunday after closing through the coronavirus lockdown.

Musicians — playing Antonio Vivaldi’s first opera Ottone in Villa — stood by which audiences would have sat.

Section of a smaller-than-normal audience sat a secure distance from one another within an area surrounding what was the point and the orchestra pit.
