VARANASI: The American division of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday acquired a special gift package by the women artisans of conventional GI (Geographical Indication) labeled craft of Varanasi wooden lacquerware and toys.
The package contained vibrant wooden rakhis intended for the PM and the braveheart soldiers in Galwan valley on Indo-China boarder for the coming festival of Rakshabandhan. These girls such as Shalini, Vandana, Reeta, Pushpa and Sita accompanied by master craftsman Rameshwar Singh handed over the package to the workplace in-charge Shiv Sharan Pathak. They also delivered a letter to the PM, asking him to be certain that the rakhis hit the soldiers in Galwan valley. “Inspired from the PM’s mantra of’Atmanirbhar Bharat‘, we left the wooden rakhi this season for the first time under the advice of the federal virtue awardee Rameshwar Singh,” said Shalini adding.
She added,”It’s our humble honor and love for the PM and the soldiers fighting for our security and safety.”
She stated that throughout the pandemic interval, the women of Varanasi obtained employment opportunity by coordinating about 50,000 bits of GI-tagged wooden rakhis.
