Varanasi: Concerned over sharp increase in Covid-19 instances, the district government has made it very clear if any temple government fails to obey the principles of social distancing and assess crowding throughout the auspicious Shrawan month, then it’ll be closed.
District magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma cautioned all of his subordinates and authorities to boost vigil on the streets and areas of public gathering in perspective of sacred month of Shrawan beginning from July 6.
The DM stated,”If crowding and breach of prescribed guidelines for social distancing is located at any temple throughout Shrawanthe temple will be closed instantly. No devotee is going to be permitted to go out before 5am to provide prayer whilst wearing a mask and also subsequent standards of social bookmarking will probably be required ”
The DM had convened a crisis meeting of the officers in his camp office late Tuesday evening to go over strategy for combating new challenges in perspective of increase of Covid-19 cases. Assigning task to track all issues linked to Varanasi Municipal Corporation, Varanasi Development Authority, power division, Jal-Kal, Jal Nigam, etc., into the extra town magistrates, the DM also led them to execute particular drives for 2 hours each morning against people violating Covid-19 standards.
The ACMs have been requested to make certain that all stores are shut by 7pm at any price and no one stands from the houses between 9pm and 5am.
The officers were advised to create awareness among individuals for prevention of spread of this virus via hired or police vehicles as needed.
The ACMs were instructed to maintain a sharp vigil on stores, market-goers, automobile and e-rickshaws to make sure the Covid-19 protocol has been followed rigorously. The DM also requested to ensure sealing of stores for a week in the event of violations and also pruning vehicles when anybody found driving with no mask. He inquired for strict compliance of constraints prescribed for hotspot locations.
