Varanasi: Coronavirus continued to spread its tentacles, infecting more men from the districts of eastern UP. Even though Varanasi reported 145 new instances of Covid-19 with seven passing on Friday, the other districts also observed an increasing number of patients.
With 145 new instances of Covid-19, the Varanasi district topped at the area together with the entire tally of two,767. District magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma explained that two patients died on Friday, while five deaths have been reported on Thursday late night in the Covid-19 centre increasing the toll on 58 from the district. Thus far, 1,103 patients have regained, whereas 1,606 are under treatment at several hospitals. In Ballia district, 46 persons tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday raising the entire amount to 1,694. Based on Ballia DM Hari Pratap Shahi, so far 785 patients have recovered from disease and have been discharged from the hospital, while 16 persons lost their lives. The Azamgarh district reported 47 new instances of Covid-19 on Friday raising the tally to 987. Up to now, 392 patients have regained and 13 patients died. The district has 582 active instances of Covid-19 presently.
In Mau district, 13 more individuals have been tested positive for Covid-19 raising the tally to 489. Mau DM Gyan Prakash Tripathi stated 323 men have recovered, while six patients died.
