Arms licences of Mukhtar’s henchmen suspended | Varanasi News


Varanasi: Five arms licences of their family and henchmen of condemned mafia don-MLA Mukhtar Ansari were suspended along with the arms retreated police channels of Ghazipur district.
ADG Varanasi zone Brij Bhushan stated,”During confirmation of their arms licences, arms and ammunition delivered to the relatives and henchmen of Mukhtar, the Ghazipur cops had discovered many irregularities after they delivered their report from five of these to district magistrate between July 7 and 9.”
Taking notice of this the DM Ghazipur ordered suspension of their arms licences of both Uday Narain Yadav, Reyaz Ansari, Ramanuj Singh Yadav, Afzal Ali Khan and Valiullah Khan, from Mohammadabad Region.
The ADG explained that so far 33 arms licences of those people connected with Mukhtar gang were suspended and hauled in police stations.
The officers have tightened the noose on the family and henchmen of Mukhtar, who’s currently headquartered in Ropar prison in Punjab, for the last one month at Ghazipur district in which illegally seized land and other possessions of Rs 39. 83 crores are freed in the ownership of the don’s close partners in an effort to ruin his economic empire.
Not just in Ghazipur, but big scale activity to break the monopoly of Mukhtar’s henchmen in fish commerce from east UP districts such as Mau, Varanasi and Jaunpur was shot particularly after May end. Mau cops also cracked down Mukhtar-supported racket involved in extorting money from the title of cab stands.
