UP man held for cheating individuals through internet video plot | Vadodara News


Vadodara: At a really distinctive online scam, a native of Uttar Pradesh supposedly battled three individuals out of Chansad village of Padra of Rs 4 lakh. Vadodara rural authorities detained the scamster on Tuesday.
Based on authorities, accused Vikas Dubey takes varying quantities from the title of subscription because of his distinctive site instead of investment. Dubey floated a site which would provide his clients with advertising videos as soon as they subscribe to his website. Among those sufferers, Kiran Patel, stated they were promised charge of Rs 4 to seeing one ad video through the site, stated cops.
Thus, he took Rs 4.2 lakh in the 3 victims as subscription sum in September this past year. The trio was originally paid Rs 14,400 for viewing movies, but in January Dubey closed down the site but did not yield the remaining sum of Rs 4 lakh to the trio.
In February, Patel lodged a complaint of cheating and violation of Information Technology Act from an unidentified individual.
“We had the individual’s cell phone number in addition to bank account numbers. We began probing according to PAN card, Aadhaar card along with GST forms. Afterwards, we have more information from Gmail and also two web hosting companies and we zeroed our hunt at Lucknow and Banda district in Uttar Pradesh,” said a police officer.
Dubey was detained from his house in Banda and attracted to Vadodara on transit remand. Cops also recovered Rs 4 lakh money from the accused.
Dubey also broke down and confessed of conned nine other men to the tune of Rs 33 lakh in Vadodara, Ahmedabad and also Navsari in a similar modus operandi.
