Vadodara: A Nigerian undertrial, captured with heroin worth Rs 6 crore and glancing at Vadodara Central Jail was reserved on Wednesday on charges of attempted jailbreak.
The accused, Mamdubueze Nonso Charles, was discovered missing on Wednesday afternoon once the prison team started his barrack for presence.
Based on authorities, Charles wasn’t observable in his mobile nor did he react if the team called his name out. At the prison sepoy opened the mobile to test indoors and if he checked within the restroom of the mobile, he found the wooden roof and also the plastic cap over it broken.
Alarm bells rang within the prison, with staffers for example senior officials carrying out a research operation inside the premises to the convict, but couldn’t find him. An hour after, a second inmate Nikunj Parmar seen Charles hiding behind a tree close to the prison’s practice and alerted the officers.
Afterwards, one of the jailers approached the Raopura police station and lodged an offence contrary to the convict.
Charles has been nabbed from the Narcotics Control Bureau on March 7, 2018 by Mumbai-bound Rajdhani Express train in Vadodara railway station.
