THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Union Pinarayi Vijayan has stated that fees for Covid-19 treatment in private hospitals mended from the Kerala government would be the cheapest in the nation.
The ministry stated in Kerala, therapy for Covid is provided entirely free of cost in government associations. Covid physicians and first-line therapy centers also give free meals . Private hospitals are working well with the authorities for Covid therapy.
Currently, 44 non-functioning hospitals and 42 partly functioning hospitals in the private sector have been recognized for taking more and will probably be converted to Covid therapy. More physicians are coming forward to join hands with the authorities for Covid therapy as part of their Karunya Suraksha scheme.
The CASP beneficiaries and government-referred Covid patients can get free treatment from empanelled hospitals. A temporary empanelment centre was set up only for Covid therapy. The per-day fees for treatment in private hospitals are 2,300 at General Ward, Rs 6, respectively 500 at ICU and Rs 11,500 at Ventilator ICU.
