Swapna’s arrest listed for surpassing degree certification | Thiruvananthapuram News


Thiruvananthapuram: The Cantonment Authorities listed the arrest of Swapna Suresh, the second accused at the golden smuggling instance , in an forgery case filed against her. The arrest was listed on Thursday from Cantonment station house officer by going to the prison in Kakkanad at which Swapna Suresh is now housed after being detained by NIA and Enforcement Directorate.
Police had registered a case against Swapna as accused, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Vision Technologies since the third and second accused respectively for forging documents to have a project for Swapna at Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd (KSITL). The case was registered on the grounds of a complaint by Jayashankar Prasad, managing director, KSITL.
Authorities had charged that the case under divisions 406, 465, 468, 471, 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with criminal breach of trust, forgery, cheating and having forged record for one’s benefit. The fees, if proven, can award an imprisonment up to seven decades.
The FIR had stated that the first accused used a bogus bachelor’s degree certification of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University and was able to find the post of junior adviser in KSITL with the aid of their third and second accused. The accused cooperated with each other in deceiving the business, the FIR said. The case was enrolled at Cantonment police station in the funds. The crime division can be probing a situation involving Swapna in relationship with a false criticism while she had been an employee of Air India SATS.
