THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The condition reported 118 Covid-19 instances on Sunday – the 10th successive day with more 100 cases reported as the amount of active instances climbed to 2,015. As many as two,150 sufferers of the complete 4,189 cases reported to date have recovered from the disease, together with 42 patients testing negative for the virus daily.
Strict restrictions are enforced in Malappuram after a threat of local spread, together with five medical workers including two physicians of a private hospital testing positive from the district. Kannur (26) had the maximum number of instances Sunday, Thrissur 17, Kollam and Alappuzha 10 each, Thiruvananthapuram nine, Ernakulam and Kozhikode seven per cent, Kasaragod six, Kottayam, Malappuram and Wayanad five per, Idukki and Palakkad four per and Pathanamthitta three.

Malappuram (261) and Palakkad (224) have the maximum number of active instances at present, followed closely by Kollam (189), Kannur (179), Ernakulam (173), Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha (165 every ), Thrissur (153), Kottayam (121) and Kasaragod (112).
One of the recoveries on Sunday, seven sufferers have been in Kozhikode, six at Idukki, five per in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur and Kasaragod, three at Palakkad, two at Pathanamthitta and one each in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Wayanad and Kannur.
As many as 1,75,734 persons are under surveillance at the country, of whom 1,73,123 are beneath home/institutional quarantine and two,611 confessed to designated isolation centers.
At the past 24 hours, 5,406 samples were analyzed from the state. Till 1,69,260 samples (like replicate, augmented and personal laboratory samples) are shipped for tests, of which outcomes of 4,041 are all pending.
Moreover, 43,842 of those 45,592 samples obtained from priority classes as part of sentinel surveillance have tested negative.
