While three pupils were discovered to be infected with the virus July 21, two other people tested positive on Wednesday, district officials said.
The state government was facing criticism from the opposition parties for holding the examination regardless of the high incidence of Covid-19 cases in the nation.
Meanwhile, a case was filed against 300 individuals for gathering outside among the test centers in town to get their wards following the examination on July 16.
“The case has been registered on July 17 following the image of the audience appeared in a few of those papers.
The situation was registered for not sticking to the Covid-19 health protocol in public area,” a police officer told.
Leaders of opposition parties have flayed the government’s determination to run the examination through the Covid-19 catastrophe despite appeals to defer it.
“This bunch of pupils dared to enter a test facility for #keam2020 have made a mockery of their social bookmarking criteria. A Govt that wishes to fight #Covid19 wouldn’t be absurd enough to persist with those examinations when pupils (&this M.P.) have pleaded to their postponement! ,” Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted and an image of the audience facing an examination centers in the country capital.
