THANE: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly stealing aluminum and brass sheets worth over Rs 14 lakh from a godown in Bhiwandi city of Maharashtra‘s Thane district, authorities said on Saturday. The authorities on Friday nabbed Saitansingh Jaswant Singh Solanki (33), a resident of Nagpada in Arabian Mumbai and Farooq Hasan Shaikh (42) of Kalwa Shantinagar slum colony,” stated Rajkumar Shinde, deputy commissioner of police zone-II Bhiwandi.
The accused had broken up into a godown at Rahnal region on August 22 and stolen brass and aluminum sheets worth 14. 27 lakh, ” the official stated.
Stolen metal sheets worth Rs . 18 lakh have been retrieved from the arrested accused,” he explained.
An instance was registered in this respect under applicable sections of the IPC using the Narpoli police channel of Bhiwandi zone, the official added.
