Retired educator from Ulhasnagar detained for black promotion of tocilizumab injection | Thane News


ULHASNAGAR: The Food and Drug Administration Department with assistance of Kalyan Crime Branch device have detained, a 56-year old teacher by Ulhasnagar for supposedly black advertising tocilizumab injection utilized in treating Covid-19 patients.
The detained retired instructor Neeta Panjawani is a resident of Manish Nagar place in Ulhasnagar. The FDA team headed by Medication Inspector Nishigandha Pasthe with assistance of crime unit of Kalyan on Thursday evening detained Panjawani using 1 tocilizumab injection that has MRP of 40,545 while she had been selling it in cost of Rs 60,000 with no bill.
Sanju John, senior police inspector of Kalyan crime unit that aided FDA staff to headed snare and caught her red handed by sending imitation client to purchase injection said probe around from where Panjawani has injection is still happening.
In this relationship the authorities have enrolled offences under applicable sections of IPC, Food and Drug Administration’s Regulations and cost control standards.
