Maharashtra: Man stabbed to death from Thane, one held | Thane News

THANE: A 27-year-old guy was detained for allegedly stabbing to death a resident of Ulhasnagar township at Maharashtra‘s Thane district and injuring his two friends, authorities said on Friday.
The incident happened late on Thursday night in Madrasi Pada region of Ulhasnagar, authorities said.
The accused, identified as Rahul alias Kandi Valmiki, assaulted the victim- Wilson Jadhav (39)- and his two buddies using a knife over a small difficulty, a police officer said.
“The victim died on the spot, while two of his buddies – Avinash Naidu and Murugan Shetty- were seriously hurt in the assault. They are undergoing treatment in a hospital,” Thane police spokesperson Sukhada Narkar explained.
“While Rahul Valmiki was arrested, authorities have launched a hunt for yet another accused, recognized as Sachin Valmiki,” she explained.
A case was filed against the accused duo under IPC sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and many others, Narkar added.
