Talati detained in Rs 50k bribery instance | Surat News


Surat: Anti corruption bureau (ACB) detained former talati of Palod Kothwa village of Surat district on Thursday at bribery case that was registered against him June 14.
Accused Mohammad Ayyub Yusuf Mirza had surrendered to the ACB on Wednesday. He had been arrested by the authorities along with his Covid-19 evaluation was completed. Following the report came unfavorable Mirza was officially arrested.
An offence has been filed contrary to Mirza in April 2017 for demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 to receive a farm property to be announced non-agricultural. Adhering to the requirement, the complainant approached ACB and lodged the complaint. A trap was laid afterward however, the accused handed ACB sleuths a slide once he smelt trouble once the complainant refused to provide the guaranteed bribe money into another man who was present at exactly the exact same room. The accused had demanded the bribe when he had been submitted as talati at Palod Kothwa village of Mangrol taluka.
Meanwhile, the ACB pioneered a question of need of bribe because authorities had evidences like video and audio recording of those accused. The evidences were shipped to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and dependent on the report ACB enrolled the need case lately.
The preliminary inquiry has been conducted by S N Desai, police inspector, and the situation is being explored by R Solanki, police inspector.
