NEW DELHI: The Railways has requested the Jharkhand authorities to eliminate Tana Bhagat protestors from paths at Tori channel and clear the way for New Delhi-Ranchi particular Rajdhani Express and heaps of merchandise trains adhered for hours. The General Manager of Hajipur branch of that the East Central Railway has written into the Jharkhand chief secretary to eliminate the folks from the tracks instantly.
“Up & Away train motion was completely disrupted in Barkakana-Garwa Road segment as a result of people agitation at Tori channel, blocking both Down and Up trail from 17. 10 hrs of 02.9. 2020 and continuing,” he’s stated in his correspondence.
The GM has also emphasized how such regular disruptions have influenced movement of trains previously in the nation.
“Such disruption in train motion in Jharkhand is badly affecting passenger and freight train performance and distribution of irrigation to several major government energy homes, impacting economy of the nation in addition to causing great annoyance to common people.
“I want to draw your kind attention on the topic and ask that appropriate instructions may please be issued to all concerned state officials to prevent disruption from the train performance because of people agitations,” he explained.
The Ranchi-bound Rajdhani Express and almost 70 goods trains are stranded for hours Thursday as over 250 Tana Bhagats set up a blockade in Tori intersection in Jharkhand’s Latehar district, demanding property rights and change of this Chotanagpur Tenancy Act, an official said.
The Rajdhani Express has been ceased in Daltonganj railroad station around 5. 30 am, while the merchandise trains were stranded on the Barkakana-Barwadih rail path of the East Central Railway (ECR), ” he explained.
