RANCHI: Three men, including a father-son duo, died after inhaling poisonous gases emanating from a septic tank Jharkhand‘s Garhwa district on Tuesday, authorities said. The incident happened at an under-construction home in Pipra Kala area of Garhwa city, District Superintendent of Police Srikant S Thokray explained.
“Among those employees got into an under-construction septic tank to eliminate its shuttering. It had been attached to a different septic tank which has been in use. The labourer fell unconscious after inhaling poisonous gases within it.
“Another employee subsequently got down to pull out but he also lost awareness, as did two other people who had been waiting outside. The four men have been admitted to a hospital, in which each of these died,” Sadar police station in-charge Laxmikant explained.
The dead had been identified as Immamuddin Ansari, ” his son Gulab Rabani, and Amarendra Sharma — inhabitants of Kalyanpur village at Sadar police station area, ” he explained.
Still another labourer, recognized as Kameshwar Prajapati, has been treated in a hospital and he’s out of danger, ” the officer explained, adding he’s also from Kalyanpur.
The families of the deceased could get home units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, gains below the widow pension scheme and Rs 20,000 each under a social security strategy, he added.
