RANCHI: The wellbeing of incarcerated former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav came under the scanner on Friday following nine police constables submitted in his safety tested positive for Covid 19 late on Thursday night.
The 73-year old president of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the primary opposition party in Bihar Assembly, is under treatment in the Jharkhand government conducted Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) at Ranchi since July 2018 for kidney and other disorders. He had been sentenced to prison after being found guilty in many fodder scam cases by a special CBI court in 2018.
On August 6he had been transferred in the paying heed into the posh Kelly’s Bungalow on the hospital campus, and this serves as the home of the hospital’s manager to decrease the odds of him being infected. The bungalow is lying vacant after former manager Dr DK Singh quit the project in July. The interim manager, Dr, Manju Gari, is to maneuver in.

Earlier in July, Lalu was arrested for Covid 19 evaluation weeks following an assistant sub-inspector submitted in his safety tested positive after returning from Bihar following a household function. Days after, three of Lalu’s sevadars (domestic aids ) were found to be infected. Lalu was tested negative on July 26.
Meanwhile, together with Bihar Assembly polls coming, RJD employees, fans and ticket aspirants are observed doing the rounds of Rims to receive a glimpse of the leader. Before, the behavior of state authorities came after Lalu was photographed talking over telephone within his paying ward hosting and room unsanctioned meetings with different political functionaries. In July, JMM had declared to competition in 12 chairs in Bihar polls within an alliance with the RJD.
