Ranchi: Faculties in the country are gearing up to maintain their impending exams following a recent advisory from the University Grants Commission (UGC) even as a couple countries have uttered against the Union ministry of human resource growth directive.
Vice-chancellor of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) S N Munda explained they have started the preparation to maintain their examinations shortly. “Our assessments will start later this month and we wish to complete the procedure by August. We’ll have both offline and online modes of assessments,” Munda said.
Still another official of DSPMU stated they’ve planned to begin the internet exams from July 23 while the offline mode has been tentatively scheduled from August 6.
Central University of Jharkhand will be holding its own assessments between August 3 and August 12 throughout the online manner. CUJ public relations officer Narendra Kumar said,”The analysis is scheduled for over by August 18.”
Ranchi University, which recently purchased work from home because of its workers, has meanwhile adopted a wait-and-watch policy. A university official stated,”The university is closely tracking the current scenario and the government’s stance on the UGC directive and in precisely the exact same time it’s preparing to maintain its assessments in September.”
When contacted, manager of state higher education department Sushant Gaurav explained that individual deputy commissioners are asked to have a call. “The country headquarters recently held an interaction with deputy commissioners concerning the groundwork needed for assessments and have been requested to take necessary actions.”
State education minister Jagarnath Mahto said authorities will soon have a call maintaining UGC guidelines and total interest of pupils in mind.
The UGC in its own directive held that academic analysis of pupils is a really important landmark in any schooling system and additional,”Terminal semester(s)/ final year(s) assessments be conducted from the universities and associations by the end of September, 2020 in offline (pencil & paper)/ online/ blended (online and offline) mode. The pupils of terminal semester/ year students with backlog should compulsorily be assessed.”
