A catch in the video clip
Rajkot: In case of extreme cruelty against animals, a 21-year old trainee host of a hotel strangulated a pup and produced the video clips of this inexplicable action.

but a member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) watched the videos which were widely circulated on societal networking platforms and caused it to Gandhidham authorities’s note. Sangatam was arrested from the hotel on Friday.
“Sangatam got so incensed after the puppy soiled the area he caught it by the scruff of its neck and hammering it died,” an official from Adipur police station stated.
From the clips, Sangatam is heard precisely what spurred him to perpetrate the brutality, said authorities.
Neha Chaturvedi of PETA ran an independent inquiry and she emailed her criticism to Kutch superintendent of police (SP) and clips of their movies.
“The SP ordered Adipur sub-inspector N K Chaudhary to research in the issue and Sangatam was detained from the hotel. Chaudhary became the complainant in the case and booked the accused under divisions 429, 11 (1) (A), 11 (1) (I) of Indian Penal Code dealing with cruelty against animals,” said the official.
“At present, we’ve kept him under detention. We’ll formally arrest him after his Covid-19 evaluation is completed,” added the officer.
