PUNE: A 10-year-old female woman sustained burn injuries in Maharashtra‘s Ahmednagar district when two men entered her home and tried to place her mother on flame demanding the latter draw the rape situation filed against them, authorities said on Saturday. While authorities have detained an accomplice of the primary accused following the August 13 episode that happened in Parner tehsil, the latter would be about the conduct, an officer said.
The woman, now in hospital, is out of danger, ” he explained.
The primary accused was identified as Rajaram Tarte along with his buddy as Amol Tarte, ” he explained.
“Rajaram and Amol entered the home of this girl on Thursday. Rajaram jeopardized her and requested her to draw the case of rape she’d filed against him,” the officer stated.
He threw gas on the girl, a few of which also fell to the woman, ” he said the FIR.
“In precisely the exact same time, Amol Tarte lit a matchstick and hurled it in the girl. On the other hand, the game stick dropped to the frock of this woman which caught fire,” the officer added.
A case was filed against the duo under different segments ( such as 307 (attempt to murder), of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and beneath Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.
“We’ve detained Amol Tarte and hunt for Rajaram is happening,” said the officer.
