Four IAS, six BAS officers deputed from Patna to undertake Covid pandemic | Patna News


PATNA: The state authorities on Saturday deputed four recently hired Indian Administrative Service officers and six Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers at Patna collectorate as further human resource so as to strengthen the hands of district management for tracking general situation to attack the prevalent situation of Covid-19 pandemic together with ensuring safety of common folks.
Moreover, two BAS officers each were deputed in collectorates of Gaya and Bhagalpur respectively also for exactly the identical reason.
While most of the IAS officer are of 2019 batch and so are posted as helper collectors, the BAS officials are of 63rd batch of Bihar Public Service Commission and are submitted a senior deputy collectors. They all are currently on probation.
IAS officials Naveen Kumar published in Rohtas, Sumit Kumar published in Nalanda, Vikram Virkar submitted in Samastipur and Deepak Kumar Mishra published in Supaul was deputed in Patna collectorate until further requests for assisting the district government in its struggle against Covid-10 whose instances had jumped lately and lockdown was clamped down on entire district by DM Kumar Ravi from July 10 into July 16.
But, authorities afterwards enforced a statewide lockdown until July 31 when scenario appeared to grim as a result of abrupt growth in daily instances.
Vivek Kumar published in Muzaffarpur, Rishav published in Supual, Vijay Kumar at Khagaria, Shashi Bhushan at Sitamarhi, Balendu Narayan Pandey at Madhubani, along with Ravi Prakash Gautam published in Jamui would be the BAS officers deputed in Patna collectorate in Addition to the IAS officers to augment human source.
Prashant Ramania published in Nawada, Atul Anand published in Katihar have been deputed at Gaya collectorate while Amulya Ratna published in Begusarai and Ajay Kumar published in Banka was deputed in Bhagalpur collectorate.
Patna DM Kumar Ravi stated officers that were deputed at Patna collectorate could be deployed in Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) for organizing, handling, helping and monitoring scenario with various superintendents.
“The purpose is that superintendents should stay focused on core medical troubles. Chief secretary Deepak Kumar had proposed for deputing senior officers for tracking major institutions involved with handling Covid-19 pandemic and these officers were supplied to us. The requirement of the officers had surfaced through conversation at a current high level assembly,” he explained.
Ravi said more officers could be deployed in civil surgeon office and also for tracking isolation centers and testing centers. “We’ve deployed BAS officers in AIIMS-Patna for coordination,” he explained.
The DM said these efforts are being placed in so that ordinary folks don’t need to confront hassles because of the outbreak.
