PATNA: A 35-year old iron dealer was shot dead while he was asleep only outside his store in village Madanpur beneath Daraundha police station area in Siwan on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar. Authorities said the incident happened between 12. 30am to 1am.
Police sources stated the killing happened over fiscal dispute over Rs 50000.
Daraundha police station SHO Ajeet Kumar Singh stated Vijay’s senior brother Sanjay Prasad had listed his announcement with the authorities where he’s made three men as accused of murdering his brother.
“The trio was included in a monetary dispute with Vijay. They’d bought iron grills and grills ready by Vijay but didn’t cover him. The dealer was always pressurising them to clean the dues leading to enmity between the two parties,” he explained including an FIR was lodged with Daraundha police station in relation to the killing.
He explained Vijay was taken in the torso in the close range in his sleep. SHO said Sanjay, that had been one of the four sleeping in the place, told authorities he had witnessed three men fleeing the area whom his brother had enmity.
SHO Singh explained that no empty capsules were recovered from place. He explained Vijay’s home was only a couple of hundred meters from the place.
Meanwhile Maharajganj SDPO Polust Kumar reported that among detained had lodged an FIR with Maharajganj police station against Vijay for stealing furniture out of a community hall in the village nearby Madanpur.
“Killers were identified and raids were about to nab them” SDPO explained.
Maharajganj police station SHO Dayanand Singh explained the FIR against Vijay was lodged hardly 1 week ago by Madan Yadav whose name had surfaced in murdering.
“In preliminary evaluation just, it became clear that Vijay had no participation in furniture theft along with the case against him was untrue,” he added.
