PATNA: Nawada superintendent of police Hariprasath S has ordered an inquiry into an alleged detention of contractual change board operator (SBO) Mantu Kumar of energy division in Kauwakol police station on Thursday for disconnecting the power source to the assumptions over non of Rs4. 65 lakh invoice, Pakribarawa SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha told TOI on Friday.
“that I am going to have the ability to tell anything just after obtaining the specifics,” Saha, who’s running the inquiry, stated.
sources said that the thing came to light following record of an alleged heated telephonic conversation between Kauwakol’s junior electrical engineer Dharmendra Kumar and SHO Mukesh Kumar surfaced. Dharmendra is heard asking why Mantu was arrested while Mukesh supposedly asked him how reluctant he disconnect the electricity source into a police station with no notice and noticed hurling abuses. TOI does not confirm the telephone recording.
When contacted, Nawada executive electric engineer Ravi Aryan reported the incident happened on Sunday. “Mantu was arrested for two hours as he’d disconnected the power source to Kauwakol police station,” Aryan added and said that he had acted on the management of Dharmendra.
“He had been set free only after senior police officers, such as the SPDO, were asked to intervene,” Aryan explained. He explained a power bill of Rs4. 65 lakh is currently pending for payment contrary to Kauwakol police channel.
“This is a result of the enormous pending bill the junior engineer had arranged him to detach the electricity source. An SBO’s project would be to switch off and on electricity distribution on the leadership of his seniors,” he explained.
Aryan said senior police officers have promised them to clean the energy bill. “But it turned into a verbal pledge,” he added.
