PATNA: At a hair rising episode, a 19-year-old woman Sufiyan Parveen was burnt alive by her aunt and uncle at village Rampur Bakhri beneath Sakra police station area in Muzaffarpur on Friday night only as a result of dispute 10 dhur (half kattha) of land where the family lived.
Shortly after episode, the woman’s uncle Zainul Abdeen, his spouse Hakima Khatoon and three small sons fled in the village. Hakima’s dad and her brother will also be evading arrest.
Sufiyan’s mum Husna Bano had lodged an FIR with Sakra police station against Zainul, Hakima, her dad and brother for murdering her from strangulating and burning pouring kerosene.
Sufiya’s younger brother Kudrat Ali, while speaking to TOI over telephone on Saturday stated that she’d went to take bath in neighbor Samshud Zoha‘s house as their hand-pump wasn’t working.
“The Arabian household had went someplace after giving us secrets for everyday use of toilet,” he explained.
He explained aunty Hakima and other people had followed Sufiyan within Zoha’s house and then attempted to strangulate her. “Thereafter they all poured kerosene on her and burnt her and fled backside of toilet,” he explained.
Kudrat stated Sufiyan cried for assistance and his mum rushed for support. “Others villagers afterwards also accumulated but until then she’d died,” he explained.
Kudrat stated his dad Abdul Sattar had composed 10 dhur property in village ten decades ago before perishing. “Uncle maintains his ownership on such land and ten dhur further land where they live together today,” he explained.
He explained uncle and aunty had thrashed his mom on a few event and was torturing them because many decades.
“He’d threatened multiple occasions in past he would kill me that none stays to maintain ownership on land. We had previously also lodged FIR against them but no action had been taken,” he explained adding aunt benefit from scenario as she awakens from Rampur Bakhri only.
Sakra police station SHO Lallan Kumar explained all four accused were evading arrest and raids were moving on to nab them.
He explained Zainul and Hakima would like to have Sufiyan’s family evicted from property where they live together. “That really is root cause of dispute in addition to reason for burning off Sufiya living,” he explained.
SHO said bath was locked from within that had raised little suspicion. “But police is investigating the episode from murder angle ” he further added.
