Healthcare employee collects swab sample from a suspected Covid-19 patient for analyzing from Patna
PATNA: 34 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel stationed in the Bihar industry headquarters of the paramilitary force on Ashiana-Digha Road from town have tested positive for Covid-19.
Growing Covid instances have feared senior CRPF officers since most of its battalions deployed in condition for anti-Maoist surgeries are controlled and controlled by industry headquarters. Sources said many CRPF personnel were granted permission to continue leave after being tested positive for Covid-19.
Patna frontier headquarters of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is situated just opposite the CRPF industry headquarters.
District government sources said the initial Covid case in the CRPF headquarters was discovered on Thursday. “Samples of more CRPF personnel were gathered on Thursday and three were analyzed Covid-19 positive. Afterwards, 25 more samples were gathered and 13 CRPF personnel were tested positive on Saturday,” a senior district government official said.
He included samples of 28 more employees were gathered on Saturday and 17 were discovered Covid optimistic on Sunday.
CRPF Bihar industry DIG (government ) S M Hasnain confessed more than 30 employees have tested positive for the virus. “Altogether 17 employees were tested positive on Sunday. Three of them are symptomatic. They’re in isolation at Patliputra Sports Complex. The asymptomatic CRPF personnel are quarantined at another place near Kangan Ghat at Patna City,” Hasnain added.
Patna DM (accountable ) Richie Pandey, who’s nodal officer for quarantine centers, stated,”CRPF does not possess its own quarantine centre. We’re planning to maintain virus-affected CRPF personnel at different Covid care centers, including one in Bihta. I’ve requested the SDO to check into the topic,” Pandey added.
