Waseem was hoping to flee using a stolen motorcycle

Nagpur: Mohd Waseem, a former murder detained , has been held by Tehsil police group while he was attempting to flee using a stolen motorcycle on Friday. He had stolen the bicycle from a spot facing Timki police chowky.
Waseem, following his release from prison, had begun driving auto-rickshaw to make livelihood. It’s learnt, he’d resorted to easing two-wheelers throughout lockdown interval when autorickshaws weren’t allowed to ply.
The Tehsil authorities group, under senior inspector Jayesh Bhandarkar, nabbed Waseem within few hours following the motorcycle theft. The detection division staff beneath sub-inspector Swapnil Wagh, asst sub-inspectors Sanjay Dubey, naik police constables Anil Chaturvedi, Sachin Tapre and many others nabbed Waseem if he had been hoping to choose the stolen motorcycle to scrap traders.
Senior PI Bhandarkar said Waseem might be a part of a larger gang. “We believe he could be supporting more thefts,” he explained.
