MUMBAI: The two suspects, who had been detained in connection with the disease at Dr BR Ambedkar at Mumbai earlier this month, have tested positive for Covid-19.
Resources stated that two detained – Vishal Ashok More alias Vithal Kanya and Umesh Jadhav – that had been detained on July 8 and July 22 respectively, were delivered to a quarantine center in central Mumbai.
The Matunga police group of six cops had escaped by contracting the virus, since they had obtained appropriate precaution,” said a police officer.
“We had expected that both accused could have contracted the virus and’d requested Matunga police staff to not take any danger and accept all precautions while interrogating them. Their samples were shipped to get Covid test immediately following their arrest and following their reports came favorable they had been shipped to a quarantine center,” said a source.
The police team that managed them also failed Covid evaluations and each of their reports are unfavorable.
On July 8, both detained supposedly entered the bungalow assumptions of Ambedkar and ransacked the flower pots and shattered the window panes of the home.
The two-storey legacy bungalow homes the Ambedkar Museum in which Babasaheb remained and contains his novels, portrait, ashes and boats along with other artefacts. During questioning, one of those accused told authorities he ruined the flower pots and pelted rock in fit of anger after Babasaheb’s grandson Bhimroa cried at him to get moving round the bungalow for no reasons.
