MUMBAI: Uber has shut its Mumbai office and requested its workers to work from house until December, sources said. Nevertheless, the fantastic thing is that Uber will continue to supply taxi providers from town, according to resources.
“Uber proceeds to offer a high degree of support to all of its passengers in Mumbai,” said a company spokesperson.
The sources further said,”Uber’s Mumbai office closed comes nearly a month after the ride-hailing company declared a worldwide downsizing exercise which changed about 6,700 employees globally.”
The India layoffs affected 600 workers across sections, including client and driver service, business development, legal, finance, policy, and advertising verticals.
