MUMBAI: The builder that had assembled the five-storey construction in Maharashtra‘s Mahad city which dropped was detained on Thursday, a neighborhood authorities officer said. Sixteen people were killed in the collapse of Tariq Garden construction at Mahad at Raigad distict on August 24.
Farooq Mamoodmiya Kazi, the builder, declared on Thursday evening, ” the officer stated.
Kazi was on the run following the incident, he added.
The Mahad authorities had previously arrested two persons from the case such as the construction’s RCC consultant.
The authorities had registered an FIR against Farooq Kazi, RCC adviser Bahubali Dhamne, architect Gaurav Shahand others under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 304-A (causing death by neglect ) and 338 (causing grievous harm by act endangering life or personal safety of other people ).
