MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday launched’My Family My Duty’ campaign for spreading awareness about coronavirus.
It is a component of a statewide effort of the Maharashtra government.
The BMC is likely to achieve 40 lakh families in town below the effort, the civic body said in a release, enticing people to collaborate with the groups seeing them.
5,000 teams — every group comprisinga BMC health department staff and two volunteers, 1 male and one female, can move from door to door.
The groups will assess body temperature of every member of their household utilizing thermal firearms and oxygen saturation level utilizing oximeter.
If any individual is found to own Covid-19 symptoms, he or she’ll be admitted to a local hospital.
The groups will even distribute leaflets providing advice about Covid-19 and inform people about the steps to be taken to prevent contracting the virus.
Municipal commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal on Tuesday ran an internet meeting with ward officers for successful implementation of this effort, stated the launch.
