Mangaluru: As a part of its steps to effectively assess the transmission of this novel coronavirus, the Dakshina Kannada district government appointed nodal officers to oversee reservation of 50percent of beds in designated private hospitals such as Covid-19 patients. In accord with the movement, senior officers from across divisions were tasked with the additional responsibility of serving as nodal officer.
Individuals in Dakshina Kannada can currently contact some of the nodal officers tasked with the oversight of their 25 private hospitals in Mangaluru to obtain treatment and entrance at these health care associations, besides reaching them out to get redressal of any grievances they might have with regard to the doctors.
Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner KV Rajendra explained that the district government had taken cognisance of this alarming growth in the amount of Covid-19 instances, and has been working towards ensuring adequate beds. “How many beds in the designated authorities Covid-19 hospital — Wenlock District Hospital — might prove inadequate in the days ahead of time.
