Covid-19 victim laid to rest by volunteers | Mangaluru News


Mysuru: The last rites of a 58-year old guy that died of Covid-19 in Kollegal hospital on Saturday night had been conducted by a band of volunteers at the morning on Sunday. The patient has been admitted to the Kollegal hospital on July 8. He had been diagnosed with SARI.
“He tested positive for Covid-19. All of the necessary precautionary steps were taken because of his last rites,” explained DHO L Ravi.
Based on deputy commissioner M R Ravi, the ward where the dead person was treated was sanitised. People who came in contact with him were shipped into quarantine as a precautionary step.
The entire body of the dead person was murdered by a group of six volunteers in Kongarahalli village. These volunteers were educated from the district health department. They all are currently under home quarantine according to the guidelines.
