411 brand new Covid instances, 12 deaths on shore | Mangaluru News


Mangaluru / Udupi: The spike in Covid-19 cases lasted in erstwhile undivided Dakshina Kannada district on Friday together with all the coastal districts coverage 411 new favorable instances and 12 deaths on Friday.
While Dakshina Kannada reported 166 instances and seven deaths, Udupi watched 245 new cases and five deaths).
For this, DK’s tally climbed to 6,881 along with also the overall deaths climbed 208. From seven deaths reported in DK on Friday, five were against Mangaluru taluk and one each from Puttur and Belthangady.
Out 245 new cases reported in Udupi, 175 are asymptomatic and 86 have no particular contact history. The district tally according to Friday has been 5,605 including two,292 busy scenarios. Following five people including a girl died of the disease, Udupi’s death toll stood 55. Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha explained each of the five victims were suffering from several comorbidities.
