Ludhiana: In an attempt to look at the issue of water-logging in the restricted height subways of the railways that come under the authority of Ferozepur branch and contains Ludhiana district, the Northern Hemisphere authorities have requested local officials of their cleanliness section to install boards carrying helpline amounts of their control area in the websites of those subways, in order that neighborhood passersby can quickly register their criticism against the bad upkeep of subways during heavy rain when water becomes gathered.
The growth comes in the wake of many complaints against the bad upkeep of restricted height subway, which largely stayed submerged under water during heavy rain.
After obtaining instructions, the local railroad authorities have begun identifying the restricted elevation subways, which are worst affected and have submerged under water after just a couple of minutes of rain and give hard time to commuters.
Divisional railroad director of Ferozepur branch Rajesh Aggarwal, stated”We’ve given instructions to the local railroad authorities to place up consciousness boards comprising helpline numbers of local railroad authorities, so that commuters can quickly make a complaint to the railroad authorities about water-logging during heavy rain in the monsoon season.”
He said that any passerby could complain to the railroad authorities in their Twitter handle regarding the absence of upkeep of restricted height subways during heavy rain”
Rajinder Singh, a local resident, stated”Railway officials aren’t giving focus on function of cleanliness and upkeep of restricted height subways throughout monsoon, which has resulted in water accumulation at those areas. Additionally, roads constructed beneath the subways also develope potholes as a result of bad upkeep of subway, which contributes to injury during nighttime.”
