LUDHIANA: Sadar Raikot police on Friday evening reserved a individual, his mother and maternal aunt for dowry death following his wife died because of poisoning. The accused were identified as Navdeep Singh, husband of the deceased, his mum Charanjit Kaur, both of Jalaldiwal along with his maternal aunt Amarjit Kaur of Rupa Pati.
In his authorities criticism, 55 years old Gurmukh Singh, a farmer of Ghure village and father of the dead Baljit Kaur, stated he has two sons and a girl. He added that on 7 October last year he married his daughter to the accused and gave her dowry than his fiscal ability.
The complainant further said that sometime after her marriage, her inlaw began harassing her for dowry and would beat her up. He added that about 5. 30 am on Friday he got call from among those accused Amarjit Kaur who advised him that his daughter is now unconscious.
Gurmukh Singh, stated he advised her to find medication to his daughter. He addedthat he then combined with couple of villagers moved to her place where he found her dead. He added that he supposes the accused men murdered her for dowry and he advised police.
On being advised cops from Sadar Raikot police station reached the place andstarted probe to the topic. Police recovered the dead body of the dead person and obtained it changed it into Civil Hospital Sudhar for article mortemexamination before committing it to her loved ones.
Authorities afterwards reserved the accused men under divisions 304 B of IPC (Dowry death). Investigating officer (IO) of the case, Sub Inspector Kamaldeep Kaur reported they accused are yet to be detained and raids are being conducted to nab them.
