LUCKNOW: To decrease injuries and following deaths on expressways, the UPSRTC, later analyzing the injury data and routine of the previous 3 decades, has issued fresh SOPs for bus operations around the expressways.
“For this, the UPSRTC is likely to reduce deaths and accidents on the expressways at least 30percent from the current fiscal year,” roadways MD Raj Shekhar explained.
SOPs include usage of buses on the paths and deputing drivers with great history in at least past five years to push buses on expressways.
Moreover, injury avoidance mobile, at UPSRTC headquarters, will gather monthly information regarding over-speeding and injuries of trucks on expressways from UPEIDA and Yamuna Expressway Authority and take necessary actions after analysis.
All buses managed on Lucknow-Agra Expressway will inevitably require a brief stoppage of 10 moments on advantage centres across the expressway at each 200kilometers to permit passengers amenities and comfort.
