LUCKNOW: All metropolitan and rural haats, markets, galla mandis and business institutions in Uttar Pradesh will stay closed throughout the weekend, also about other weekdays, they will operate from 9am to 9pm, an official said on Tuesday.
The UP government on Tuesday issued comprehensive directives for its weekend lockdown to be found from the nation for assessing Covid-19 and other communicable diseases.
Chief secretary RK Tiwari, in a letter to each of divisional commissioners, district magistrates, other government and administrative officials,” said the lockdown could come into force at 10pm Friday until 5am on Saturday.
He explained all government offices will stay closed throughout the timings though crucial services and banks are kept from its ambit.
“All urban and rural haats, markets, galla mandis and business institutions would stay closed throughout the weekend, and about other week , they’ll operate from 9 in the morning until 9 at the nighttime,” the chief secretary stated.
The weekly closed is going to be on Saturdays and Sundays and weekly markets, differently organised on Saturdays and Sundays, could be changed to some day between Monday and Friday, he explained.
All spiritual places would, nevertheless, stay open whilst after social bookmarking along with other standards that are necessary.
All industrial components, such as those linked with the IT sector in urban and rural locations, would stay open but social distancing and other medical restrictions are imposed strictly.
He explained motion of buses and trains of UPSRTC would continue . International and national flights would also continue.
The chief secretary said that a campaign was organised with the health department of door-to-door medical surveillance and screening that will also last.
