LUCKNOW: State secretary of Samajwadi Party pupil wing from Agra, Vikas Yadav was detained by Hazratganj authorities in relation to the poster and banner, that were glued on the walls from Darulshafa and adjoining place in Lucknow on Saturday.
Others who made and printed the posters were detained by law enforcement from Agra and were brought to Lucknow.
DCP East, Somen Barma explained that Vikas was detained in connection with restarting contentious posters depicting the BJP and chief minister Yogi Adityanath in bad lighting,close Lok Bhawan and Vidhan Sabha on August 26.
“The images had the photos of the CM with captions such as’Beti Bachao,” BJP Bhagao’ (Save daughters, eliminate BJP from power),” he explained.
SHO Hazratganj, Anjani Pandey said that Yadav was detained fromSikandra police station area of Agra while two other people who made and printed the posters also have been arrested. “The duo had awarded ten paintings to get a sum of Rs 1,600 into Yadav onAugust 24-25,” Pandey said.
He said that CCTVs installed close to the region had seized Yadav pasting the posters.
