LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh listed the greatest single-day leap of 1,153 coronavirus instances on Sunday, compelling the disease tally into 27,707, although the death toll at the country attained 785 with 12 fresh deaths, officials explained.
A total of 18,761 Covid-19 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Information) Awanish Awasthi said.
There are currently 8,161 active instances from the country, ” he added.
As many as 29,117 samples were analyzed for coronavirus on Saturday, Awasthi said.
In Lucknow, samples have been analyzed at King George Medical University and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences.
Tests were done at Institute of Medical Sciences – Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College at Meerut, Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur, Moti Lal Nehru Medical College at Prayagraj, RML Hospital at Lucknow, National Institute of Biologicals in Noida and Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College at Kanpur, he stated.
Moreover, as many as two,703 antigen tests were completed, the official stated.
